Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has identified by-law violations in more than 110 agro-farms in its territory, a news source reported. These violations would yield about PKR 2 billion in fines if regularised by their owners.<\/p>\n
Although the Supreme Court has permitted significant relaxations for the regularisation of agro-farms in Islamabad, more than 50 farms could not be regularised because they have construction beyond the limits set by the court.<\/p>\n
The SC had also ordered the CDA to conduct a survey to determine the volume of construction in farmhouses. According to the survey, out of a total of 541 farmhouses, the covered area in more than 110 farms is 9,500sq. ft.
