Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority has a prepared a policy to free the city from trees causing pollen allergy, reported a new source. The wild mulberry tree that produces allergy-aggravating pollen will be cut down in three phases, and a detailed report on the plan has been submitted before the Supreme Court of Pakistan.<\/p>\n
As per the report, 12,776 wild mulberry trees have been marked, which will be cut down in the next three years. In the first phase, the trees present in schools, colleges and public parks will be cut down. Trees around the nullahs and greenbelts will be removed in the second phase, while those in Margalla Hills will be dealt with in the third phase.<\/p>\n
In addition to removing these trees, the CDA also plans to treat termite-infected trees in the capital and at the same time plant more saplings.
