Gujranwala: In view of the suspected shortage of bricks in the future, plans are being made to introduce cement blocks, a news source reported. To curb environmental pollution, brick kilns will be closed down in the entire division between October 20 and December 31, 2018, and a campaign is being conducted to persuade the brick kiln industry to transfer from old technology to the modern zigzag technology.<\/p>\n
The prices of bricks have already increased in Gujranwala division, in view of which the Gujranwala Deputy Commissioner (DC) had set the rate of a 1,000 bricks at PKR 7,500. Some brick kilns have decided to introduce cement blocks made of cement, sand, fine concrete, and iron wires to replace bricks.<\/p>\n
