Rawalpindi: Under the second phase of the operation launched against encroachments in the city, the authority concerned has marked illegal buildings located in markets and along roads in red, reported a news source. To notify the property owners, several thousands of notices have been issued.<\/p>\n

The notice recommends that property owners should demolish the buildings or parts of buildings marked red, or the demolition squad will do the job. According to details, many buildings located in commercial areas have encroached on government land by three to five feet, a situation to be dealt with under the second phase on orders of the high court.<\/p>\n
