Lahore: The Punjab Assembly has passed its budget for the fiscal year 2018-2019, a news source reported. The treasury\u2019s 43 Demand for Grants were approved without any discussion because of the absence of Opposition MPAs.<\/p>\n
The last sitting of the third session of the Punjab Assembly began with Speaker Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi in the chair. 137 MPAs were present at the sitting. Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar and Provincial Ministers Muhammad Basharat Raja, Chaudhry Zaheerud Din, Aleem Khan, Mian Mehmoodur Rashid, were also present in the House.<\/p>\n
The house adopted the Finance Bill 2018 presented by the Finance Minister, Hashim Jawan Bakht.<\/p>\n
After the budget was approved, Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar stated that the government has presented the best budget under difficult circumstances. He said that though there were financial constraints, the taxes will not burden the people.<\/p>\n
