Islamabad: The Supreme Court of Pakistan has instructed the Government of Punjab to present the complete plan and schedule for the construction of Dadhocha Dam by Monday, according to a news source. A three-member bench lead by Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar heard the case regarding construction of dam for supplying water to Rawalpindi. Representing Punjab Government, Additional Advocate General Qasim Chauhan said that the provincial government will not allow any private firms, including Bahria Town, to construct the dam. Back in August this year, Bahria Town offered to construct Dadhocha Dam; the SC agreed to consider the proposal and instructed the provincial government in the last hearing to respond to the offer.
