Peshawar: Under the Clean and Green Initiative of Prime Minister Imran Khan, a plantation drive has been started along Peshawar Ring Road (PRR), reported a news source. Along all sewerage drains located between PRR and Hayatabad, Peshawar Development Authority (PDA) will plant saplings of evergreen trees and flowering plants.<\/p>\n
Chairing a meeting held to start the plantation drive, PDA Director General Israr-ul-Haq issued orders to beautify the 35-kilometre-long PRR. In this regard, greenbelts on Fayyaz Khalid Chowk, Pishtakhara Chowk and Jamil Chowk will be beautified. Haq said that air pollution level is high in Peshawar and to ensure that the city is made cleaner and greener, PDA will monitor the project. He also briefed the media that the business community is also helping to make this project a success.
