Islamabad: The development authorities of the twin cities have launched operations against illegal construction in both the cities, a news source reported. Both Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) took action in Islamabad and Rawalpindi respectively.<\/p>\n
The demolition squad of RDA demolished four illegal markets on Fateh Jang Road, Rawalpindi. RDA teams also sealed 15 houses in a popular housing scheme. The markets and the houses were constructed in violation of Punjab Development of Cities Act 1976 and RDA Building and Zoning Regulations 2007.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, CDA teams from Building Control Section sealed two commercial plazas that were constructed in violation of CDA Building Regulations. Enforcement Directorate staff also took part in the operation.<\/p>\n
