Quetta: The Balochistan government has provided acres of land required for constructing a new state-of-the-art railway station in Gwadar and Prime Minister Imran Khan will soon lay the foundation-stone during his visit to the area, a news source quoted Minister for Railways Sheikh Rasheed. The minister said this during his visit to Quetta Railway Station. He was accompanied by Sindh Governor Imran Ismail and Federal Minister for Water Resources Faisal Vawda.<\/p>\n
Rasheed said that the government had reduced the fare of Akbar Bugti Express to facilitate the people, adding that air conditioners had also been installed in the train to make the journey of the people more comfortable and affordable.<\/p>\n
He said that the railways department had witnessed a record surge in revenue, which went up by PKR one billion, because of improved railway tracks and availability of Internet facilities in trains, adding that two freight trains would be launched on December 25.<\/p>\n
Rasheed said that Prime Minister Imran Khan had approved creation of 10,000 new jobs in Pakistan Railways, adding that plans for Main Line (ML)-I will be finalised between Pakistan and China next month.<\/p>\n
