Rawalpindi: Railways Rawalpindi Division has decided to conduct an operation against land mafia in the surroundings of railways track to retrieve railways land, a news source reported. The identification of land for the purpose has been completed and notices have been sent to more than 120 people. The Railway Land, and Engineering Branch will conduct a joint operation.<\/p>\n
According to details, the operation is being conducted under the instructions of Railways Ministry that had instructed the Railways Rawalpindi Division to repossess the encroached land. In the first phase, according to law, notices have been sent to encroachers, the action will be taken against them in the second phase.<\/p>\n
An official of the Railways was quoted as saying that Railways has decided to take large-scale action against encroachers and all preparations for the operation have been completed.<\/p>\n
