Islamabad: The government has decided to revive and not privatise the struggling state enterprises and has instructed the bureaucracy to ensure the success of government\u2019s policies.<\/p>\n
Prime Minister Imran Khan chaired a meeting of the federal cabinet in which two separate policies were approved concerned with the unprofitable state enterprises. Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry told the media after the meeting, that a company by the name of Sarmaya-i-Pakistan Company will be formed, which will formulate the policy on reviving the \u201csick\u201d entities.<\/p>\n
The Prime Minister will be the head of the board of governors of the company which will work on entities including Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), Pakistan Steel Mills, and Pakistan Railways.<\/p>\n
There are 195 government enterprises which are facing several problems and running into huge losses, according to the Minister.
