Kohat: Authorities concerned have been asked to chalk out a fresh plan for the construction of Faraz Park, which has been halted since 2014, a news source reported. Assistant Commissioner Abdur Rehman chaired a meeting in this regard during which he directed officials concerned to issue a new tender and hire an experienced contractor.<\/p>\n
Former governor Barrister Masud Kausar had pledged PKR 20 million for the said park in 2013. An initial grant of PKR 6 million was released, but the Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA) was unable to complete the task in due time.<\/p>\n
The then government later increased the grant to PKR 60 million after the administration acquired 230 kanals of land in Jarma on University Road to cater to the growing population.<\/p>\n
