Lahore: Foreign investors are keen to invest in Pakistan\u2019s energy, housing and infrastructure sectors, a news source quoted Board of Investment (BOI) Chairman Haroon Sharif. He said this during a meeting with Punjab Finance Minister Makhdoom Jawan Bakhat Hashim.<\/p>\n
Sharif informed the finance minister that several delegations of investors from China and UAE will visit Pakistan in the coming days and the Board of Investment will apprise them of Punjab\u2019s investment climate.<\/p>\n
He was of the view that Punjab provides better investment opportunities to foreign investors as it has a more developed infrastructure as well as industrial zones. He added that the government has begun automation of taxation and online registration of properties.<\/p>\n
The BOI chairman said utmost efforts are being made to reform the primary and industrial sectors, adding that the government is keen to enhance investment opportunities by promoting public-private partnership.
