Islamabad: Traders have urged the government to focus its energies on building the infrastructure of the federal capital as it would create more jobs and generate economic activities, reported a news source. The discussion was the focus of a seminar organised by the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) in collaboration with PRIME Institute, an economic think tank.<\/p>\n
Addressing the participants, ICCI President Ahmed Hassan Mughal said the new economic vision focuses on utilising the potential of the youth and incorporating it with the expertise of technology professionals.<\/p>\n
He said Islamabad has a pool of tech-savvy professionals as well as 22 universities and other world-class institutions, adding that urban centres around the world account for more than 80% of the global GDP.<\/p>\n
