Mansehra: Saudi Arabia has pledged to execute the PKR 2 billion Mansehra water supply scheme that was abandoned by Japan International Cooperation Agency, a news source quoted MPA Babar Saleem Swati. He said talks between the Saudi and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governments were near completion and Chief Minister Mehmood Khan would inaugurate the work soon.<\/p>\n
Stressing the need to address water woes without delay, Swati said that the provincial government was committed to tackling water woes in Mansehra city and adjoining areas.<\/p>\n
He said Mansehra had a strategic position with regards to hosting many China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects, adding that the government was following international standards for execution of all projects.<\/p>\n
Separately, the provincial government has disbursed development funds worth PKR 180 million for village and neighbourhood councils.
