A total tax of PKR 1.5 billion has been imposed on the residents of Rawalpindi district.<\/p>\n<p>Excise inspectors have been assigned the target of collecting PKR 500 million till December 31<sup>st<\/sup> this year by Excise Director. Tax notices are now being issued to more than 100,000 citizens of Rawalpindi. The Punjab Excise Secretary has also issued instructions to provide 5% rebate on payment of tax until December 31<sup>st<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>Tax collection had been suspended for the past four months of the current fiscal year as the government decisions were awaited, now the collection has been resumed and citizens will be able to pay their Property Taxes now.
