According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/blog\/lahore-to-have-purple-line-train-project.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">concept paper approved<\/a> back during 2017, the Purple Line Train was to run between Allama Iqbal International Airport and Bhatti Chowk while passing through Shah Alam Chowk, Brandreth Road, Boharwala Chowk and Garhi Shahu.<\/p>\n<p>The 16.7-kilometre-long track was inclusive of the elevated track measuring 11.4 kilometres, while the remaining part was to be laid underground.
