He was speaking at the 17<sup>th<\/sup> World Wind Energy Conference.<\/p>\n<p>Shaikh said the government would develop its own grid company under public-private partnership that would be dedicated to evacuate clean electricity being generated in the country&#8217;s only wind corridor in Thatta-Jhimpir area.<\/p>\n<p>He also announced plans to set up a World Bank-funded USD 100 million solar power project to facilitate the residents of off-grid areas.
