The land has been cleared as a result of a major anti-encroachment drive, which is a part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/details-of-anti-encroachment-drive-sought.html\">encroachment campaign<\/a> being launched in multiple cities. The recently cleared area is worth PKR 1 billion.<\/p>\n<p>The operation was initiated by the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) on Tuesday. With assistance from the police, the illegally constructed buildings were taken down. These included several houses, shops, and a haveli.
