The move aims to provide the residents with ample time to vacate the land and find alternative living spaces.<\/p>\n<p>Chief Justice Saqib Nisar said that the 15-day notice period for eviction would continue to remain in place for encroachments erected for commercial activities. He was hearing review petitions submitted by the authorities concerned regarding the top court\u2019s orders on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/anti-encroachment-operations-continues.html\">ongoing anti-encroachment operation <\/a>in Karachi.<\/p>\n<p>The officials concerned also presented their report related to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/kmc-allocating-alternative-shops-to-1470-displaced-traders.html\">rehabilitation and relocation of the traders displaced<\/a> during the anti-encroachment drive.
