Senior Provincial Minister Abdul Aleem Khan has already made announcements to this effect.<\/p>\n<p>The Government of Punjab had previously asked the Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) to work on imposing the tax. However, before LWMC could work on that and announce the imposition of the tax, Khan made the announcement. Punjab Government made the decision on the basis of a five-year old study.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, Punjab Senior Minister Aleem Khan had said that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/fees-to-be-charged-for-waste-collection.html\">charges will imposed for waste collection from houses, shops and markets<\/a>. He said that the solid waste management companies will be asked to collect waste and charge respective households to generate funds.
