Karachi: The Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KWSB) has decided to launch an anti-encroachment drive within its jurisdiction in order to retrieve its land from illegal occupants, a news source reported. MD Water Board Khalid Mahmood Sheikh issued the directives in light of the Supreme Court orders. The operation will be carried out in KWSB\u2019s residential colony and the encroachers and other illegal occupants will be given 30 days to vacate the encroached land and other illegal settlements. Read: Sindh CM to allot land to encroachment affectees Director Administration Naseem Ahmed has directed the officials concerned to ensure the implementation of orders as a grand operation will be carried out of after 30 days against encroachments and land mafia. Earlier, the Sindh High Court (SHC) had given a 10-day deadline to the city administration to clear Nishtar Road and other adjoining areas of encroachments and other illegal structures.
