Islamabad: Adviser to Prime Minister on Commerce, Textile, Industry, Production and Investment Abdul Razak Dawood has announced that the government is taking steps to ease tariffs and duty structure in the next mini-budget to boost industrialisation, according to a news report. The next mini-budget is set to be presented in January 2019.<\/p>\n
The advisor, while speaking a meeting at the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), said that the current tariffs and custom duties are unfavourable to the industry and these changes will help facilitate the growth of industrialisation.<\/p>\n
The tariffs will then be kept at the same levels for three to four years so that a transparent roadmap can be developed for the industry.
