In this regard, a list of tenants has also been prepared.<\/p>\n<p>The orders for carrying out the operation were issued by Punjab Inspector General. To keep record of the tenants as the law specifies it, the district police has also started to prepare lists of tenants in their respective areas.<\/p>\n<p>Under this operation, legal action will be taken against illegal tenants, the landowners who leased property to them and those who issued guarantee for these tenants. The operation will be carried out indiscriminately. Those found guilty will face legal charges and they might as well be sentenced to serve a term in jail.<\/p>\n<p>The activity will also help police to find out if the wanted criminals or anti-state figures are hiding in these houses.
