Karachi: Karachi Railways Division has begun anti-encroachment operation along railway lines from Zero Point in the provincial capital, a news source reported. Engineer Karachi Division Hafiz Badrul Arifeen along with Deputy Superintendent Police (DSP) Wazeer Ali conducted operation along both sides of the railways track. They razed several building on both sides of the railways tracks. According to sources, the operation was conducted in Tando Adam in Karachi division area against encroachments on railways land along railway tracks. The purpose of the operation was to clear land for new tracks of railways. Meanwhile, Karachi Municipal Corporation (KMC) has a planned a grand operation similar to the Empress Market operation around Karachi Zoo as well.
