Peshawar: Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) has launched a grand operation against electricity theft in Mardan and Bannu circles with the collaboration of both provincial and federal governments, according to a news report. PESCO task forces have been conducting operations around the province.<\/p>\n
PESCO task forces conducted operations in Hangu and Tall areas under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Hangu Shah Fahad, and Assistant Commissioner Tall Muhammad Ali Shah. A large number of illegal connections were removed in the operations and cases registered against those stealing electricity.<\/p>\n
Dues worth PKR 200,000 were also recovered from defaulters. The people stealing electricity have been warned that zero-tolerance policy will be adopted against them, they will be arrested and cases registered against them.<\/p>\n
