Haripur: An Anti-encroachment squad retrieved government land in Kahka and Dobandi villages, according to a news report. Several houses and boundary walls that were unlawfully constructed on government land were inspected for demolishment purposes.<\/p>\n

The operation was headed by Additional Deputy Commissioner Baidullah Shah, and heavy contingents of police, TMA and the district council staff took part in it. According to the commissioner, the owners of the concerned land holdings had illegally made encroachments along the Chapar and Dobandi road by constructing a dozen houses. Others had built boundary walls on the state land.<\/p>\n

As per the squad officials, the encroachers had been sent notices to demolish the illegal structures, but they had not complied. This forced the government to resort to heavy machinery usage to raze the houses and boundary walls to the ground.<\/p>\n

Shah added that demarcation of Tehsil Municipal Administration and district council land had been completed in the main bazaar, as well as in the roads and thoroughfares.
