Lakki Marwat: The government has approved a sum of PKR 120 million for development schemes in Lakki tribal subdivision, according to a news report. Deputy Commissioner Jehangi Azam Wazir said that the amount has been approved under the annual developmental programme to provide Bettani tribesmen with the basic amenities of life.<\/p>\n
The commissioner was speaking at a meeting in the District Headquarters Complex, Tajazai. MNA Mufti Abdul Shakoor, Assistant Commissioner Riaz Mehsud, civil & military officials, and several tribal chiefs also attended the meeting. The development schemes and their execution plans were discussed.<\/p>\n
Under the annual development programme, new roads, bridges, and culverts will be built, and the present roads in the tribal subdivision will be repaired.<\/p>\n
Funds have also been allocated for the livestock, forestry and related sectors; aimed at alleviating property issues and promoting livelihood opportunities for the locals.<\/p>\n
A mobile veterinary health unit, fruit plant nurseries, and orchards have also been planned under the programme.
