Islamabad: A Chinese company on Wednesday expressed its interest to invest in Pakistan\u2019s energy sector \u2013 a news source reported.<\/p>\n

Representatives of Sichuan Chuanzhong Gas Investment Co Ltd met Petroleum Minister Ghulam Sarwar Khan. The delegation said it looked forward to exploring the country\u2019s energy sectors.<\/p>\n

While welcoming the proposal, the minister said that Pakistan was an emerging market. He added that the government would provide a favourable atmosphere to foreign investors.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, a delegation of Mitsubishi Tabeer Energy called on the minister in the federal capital. Tabeer Energy, a subsidiary of Mitsubishi Corporation, showed its interest to invest in the gas sector.<\/p>\n

The delegation said Pakistan had huge gas reserves, which needed to be explored efficiently. It expressed the hope that Tabeer Energy would help Pakistan meet its energy needs.<\/p>\n
