Karak: The majority of areas in the Karak district currently face water shortages, according to a news report. A Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) official, Asif Khan, said that the district needs small dams.<\/p>\n

According to PHED sources, more than 1,000 tube wells, 25,000 pressure pumps, and 9,000 hand pumps have been installed across Karak. This has caused underground water levels to fall. The public water schemes, which handle these installations, have also faced issues of mismanagement.<\/p>\n
