Excise and Taxation officers (ETOs) and circle inspectors were present at the occasion.<\/p>\n<p>The E&amp;T officials presented a list of 300 tax defaulters whose dues exceeded PKR 100,000. Twenty one circle inspectors were tasked to initiate contacts with these individuals for recovery of dues.<\/p>\n<p>The participants said that non-compliance will lead to arrest. Those who will pay their dues will get their names removed from the list. The authorities concerned will issue arrest warrants after January 31.<\/p>\n<p>The taxpayers were previously given an opportunity to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/property-tax-rebate-to-expire-soon.html\">avail a 5% rebate<\/a> on property tax. The tax filers were asked to submit their property taxes in any branch of the National Bank of Pakistan or State Bank.<\/p>\n<p>The Punjab government had last year <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/property-tax-to-be-raised-by-10-in-punjab.html\">raised the property tax by 10%<\/a>.
