The cantonment authorities also plan to stop supplying water between February 1 and 12. The residents will have to obtain the resource from private tankers during this period.<\/p>\n<p>According to a senior Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB) official, the water rationing drive has been launched because residents tend to waste water when cleaning their houses or washing their cars. He informed that water would be supplied every alternate day to the city\u2019s densely populated areas, but the supply period would be doubled from 30 minutes to an hour\u2019s timeframe.
