So far, the E&amp;T officials have issued arrest warrants for 80 property tax defaulters.<\/p>\n<p>The department earlier announced its decision during a high-level meeting. Moreover, it notified defaulters to have their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/deadline-issued-for-property-tax-defaulters.html\">dues cleared by January 26<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The authorities concerned have ordered 21 circle inspectors to arrest the 80 defaulters identified. Taxation Officer Riaz Virk said that the department had <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/crackdown-planned-against-property-tax-defaulters.html\">planned a crackdown<\/a> after January 26.<\/p>\n<p>The E&amp;T Department had last year announced a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/property-tax-rebate-to-expire-soon.html\">5% rebate on property tax<\/a>.
