People were defrauded of their money when unapproved plots were sold to them.<\/p>\n<p>Other suspects constructed shops without seeking approvals of commercial maps from the local municipal corporation.<\/p>\n<p>Police cases have been registered against the culprits suspected to be involved in these violations.<\/p>\n<p>Recently, under the stipulations of a new law, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/fda-authorised-to-approve-society-maps.html\">FDA was given the authority to approve maps<\/a> for private housing schemes in the city.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, under Punjab Development of Citizens Act 1976, FDA was only responsible for granting initial approvals to private housing scheme.
