Lahore: Prime Minister Imran Khan has instructed the Punjab Land Record Authority (PLRA) to solve its pending cases on a priority basis, reported a news source. PM Khan issued these order while conducting an important meeting with Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar.<\/p>\n
Advisor to Prime Minister on Establishment Shahzad Arbab, provincial revenue minister, PLRA director general, and the Information Technology director were also present in the meeting.<\/p>\n
PM ordered PLRA to attend to matters pertaining to the provision of land record services to overseas Pakistanis on a priority basis. He also instructed the authority to speed up the process of issuance of online fard<\/em>. The premier gave a 10-month deadline for setting up 115 arazi <\/em>record centres at the qanoongoi <\/em>level.<\/p>\n In addition, the meeting also decided that 20 vans will be purchased soon to provide land record services to people living in remote areas. Furthermore, the meeting members agreed to connect PLRA with commercial banks as soon as possible. In this regard, the given deadline is February 15, 2019.<\/p>\n The linkage between commercial banks and PLRA will help landowners attain loans from commercial banks by showing their ID cards instead of presenting property fard <\/em>forms.<\/p>\n The authority was also instructed to ensure that issuance of online fard <\/em>starts from February 15, 2019. This will help landowners get their online PLRA-issued fard <\/em>from the land record authority\u2019s official website.<\/p>\n To assist overseas Pakistanis in matters relating to the property sector, PLRA will set up its counters in the respective embassies of these countries.<\/p>\n Additionally, the meeting was also told to speed up work on digitisation of urban land records.
