Islamabad: The government is planning to offer incentives for the success of Special Economic Zones (SEZs), according to a news source. These measures aim to encourage the development of the SEZs <\/a>and attract overseas investors.<\/p>\n

The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) will hold a meeting to deliberate on this matter. The main agenda of this meeting will be to discuss the challenges faced by existing SEZs, and future ones planned under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project. Participants will also discuss the issue of jobs creation for overseas Pakistanis, and attaining higher earnings for them.<\/p>\n

The Board of Investment (BOI) will brief the ECC on how to transform the challenges faced by the SEZs into successes. Furthermore, the meeting will discuss skills development for citizens for acquiring better job opportunities abroad.<\/p>\n

The BOI plans to share a list of suggestions to make the SEZs more successful.<\/p>\n

Currently, the Chinese and Pakistani governments have marked M3 Faisalabad, Rashakai, and Dhabeji as important SEZs. Prime Minister Imran Khan<\/a> has directed that these three zones should be inaugurated within the first half of the year.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
