Islamabad: The federal government has begun drafting a new project concept paper for the development of a large zoological, botanical and research garden in the Bani Gala area, a news source reported.<\/p>\n

Afterwards, the paper will be sent to the Ministry of Climate Change Secretary for approval. The Prime Minister will give it the final nod.<\/p>\n

The previous government had prepared a project concept paper, which the current government forwarded to the ministry after coming into power. However, this document was returned with recommendations for revision and a better design.<\/p>\n

Under the initial project concept paper, the garden was earmarked for establishment over 725 acres of land near Bani Gala at a cost of PKR 1.385 billion. Following on this arrangement, the garden was to have 32 projects.<\/p>\n
