Gujranwala: Commissioner Gujranwala Division Waqas Ali Mehmood has announced that the GT Road network will be remodelled \u2013 in an attempt to beautify it; a news source reported. He informed that short and long-term planning is currently being done for the purpose.<\/p>\n
He also instructed the public departments concerned to work together to form a comprehensive plan. This plan will be geared towards making the city beautiful, and resolving its traffic issues.<\/p>\n
He said this while addressing a meeting concerned with the \u2018road-engineering of GT Road\u2019 at his office. Deputy Commissioner (DC) Naila Baqir, City Police Officer (CPO) Dr. Mueen Masood, Additional Commissioner Coordiation Nauman Hafeez, Assistant Commissioner General Tanveer Yaseen, among other relevant high officials, attended the meeting.<\/p>\n
On the occasion, the divisional commissioner instructed DC Naila Baqir to launch an anti-encroachment drive in the city. He instructed that the areas reserved for street vendors should be demarcate, so as to limit them to these locations.
