Multan: The software meant to digitise Pakistan Railway\u2019s (PR) land records will be launched in March, a news source reported. Prime Minister Imran Khan will inaugurate the software\u2019s launch.<\/p>\n

Punjab Urban Unit (PUU) has prepared this software for PR at an estimated cost of PKR 400 million.<\/p>\n

For its development, PUU conduct a countrywide survey of property owned by PR. The records of all PR offices, stations, and commercial, residential and agricultural lands have been digitised.<\/p>\n

PU has also initiated a process to educate (phase-wise) PR\u2019s departments of Property and Land & Engineering regarding the use of the software.<\/p>\n

In this regard, a meeting was held in Multan\u2019s PR Office. PR Divisional Superintendent (DS) Ameer Muhammad Dawood Pota presided over the session. Other participants included PR Property and Land Director Syed Asif Mateen Zaidi and Project Director Hafeezullah Khan.<\/p>\n

The meeting members were informed that the record of all land owned by the PR had been digitised.<\/p>\n

They were told that the software would help the PR keep track of \u2018every inch of its property\u2019.
