Hyderabad: Sindh Minister for Climate Change and Environment Mohammad Taimur Talpur on Thursday asked the owners of industrial units to establish treatment plants in their factory buildings.<\/p>\n

Read<\/strong>:\u00a0Continuation in Water Commission\u2019s operations requested<\/a><\/p>\n

He said that the Supreme Court-mandated commission on water and sanitation in Sindh previously issued a deadline to this effect<\/a>. He said it was mandatory for the industrialists to comply with the commission\u2019s orders.<\/p>\n

The minister directed the officials concerned to collect samples from treated and untreated waste water. A committee will be formed for this purpose, which will submit its report within 15 days.<\/p>\n

He informed that there are 311 industrial units in Hyderabad SITE, 103 in Kotri, and 75 in Nooriabad. But most of these industrial units lack effluent treatment plants.<\/p>\n
