Islamabad: The World Bank (WB) anticipates Pakistan\u2019s economy to reach the USD 2 trillion mark if the country implements its stipulated reforms and controls its population growth rate, a news source reported.<\/p>\n

WB Country Director Patchamuthu Illangovan disclosed these findings in a report – titled \u2018Pakistan @100- Sharing the Future 2047\u2032 – on Monday.<\/p>\n

It said Pakistan could become a USD 2 trillion economy in the next 28 years. To achieve this target, the country needs to remain steadfast in its reform pursuits. It also needs to reduce its population growth rate to 1.2% by 2047.<\/p>\n

According to the projections of the said international agency, an upper middle-income class would most likely dominate a USD 2 trillion economy Pakistan. The per capita income would then be USD 5,702.<\/p>\n
