Rawalpindi: Taking notice of the land occupation and littering situation at Nullah Leh, Rawalpindi Deputy Commissioner (DC) Muhammad Ali Randhawa has instructed the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) to remove the encroachments along the nullah<\/em> and initiate its desilting.<\/p>\n

Reportedly, the increasing level of suspended silt in the bed of Nullah Leh and encroachments around it pose major flood threats. Randhawa ordered immediate removal of all permanent and temporary encroachments along this watercourse.<\/p>\n

He also directed the RDA to remove all impediments disrupting the water flow on a priority basis. These \u00a0measures are expected to help save Rawalpindi denizens from the havoc of floods during the monsoon season.<\/p>\n

The information on the existing situation of Nullah Leh was communicated via a report prepared by Rescue 1122. The findings of the report are reportedly quite alarming, and call for the authorities concerned to complete their pre-flood arrangements.<\/p>\n
