Islamabad: Advisor to Prime Minster (PM) on Commerce, Textile, Industries, Production & Investment Abdul Razak Dawood has stressed on the need to launch further pro-investment initiatives, a news source reported.<\/p>\n

Dawood said that such initiatives, along with restructuring of the taxation system, will immensely help promote investment and exports in Pakistan. He was talking to the Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Yao Jing.<\/p>\n

He briefed the Chinese envoy about the current government\u2019s efforts to boost exports and investment. He said that government is making several reforms to support investors. He added that this has resulted in a number of multinational companies looking to invest in Pakistan\u2019s different economic sectors.<\/p>\n

During the meeting, Jing assured that China will continue to be Pakistan\u2019s strong partner for development in the country. He stressed upon China\u2019s active private sector, and how it is a potential area of cooperation with Pakistan.<\/p>\n

Jing also informed about investment expansion plans of Challenge Apparels Limited, which is a Chinese private textile company. He told that they are seeking to set up a modern garment manufacturing facility in Lahore. He added that this development will generate many jobs in Pakistan in coming years.<\/p>\n
