Lahore: The Government of Punjab has decided to set up 115 new land record centres throughout the province, reported a news source. The estimated cost for setting up these units to facilitate people seeking fard<\/em> and land mutations is PKR 2.19 billion.<\/p>\n

Sharing details on the revenue generation part of these units, Punjab Minister for Revenue Malik Muhammad Anwar said that the land record centres will recover their cost within one and a half year of their inauguration. Furthermore, the land record centres will also generate revenue worth millions of rupees annually.<\/p>\n

The minster also shared the details on the various measures Board of Revenue and Punjab Land Record Authority (PLRA) has taken during the last eight months. He revealed that PLRA collected PKR 1.44 billion during 2017-18 and is all set to meet the revenue set for the current fiscal year.<\/p>\n
