Islamabad: A Chinese company on Monday expressed its interest to collaborate with the government for developing low-cost houses under the Naya Pakistan Housing Programme (NPHP) project, a news source reported. Finance Minister Asad Umar, Housing Minister Tariq Bashir Cheema, Planning Minister Khusro Bakhtiar, and Housing Secretary Dr Imran Zeb also attended the meeting. Yan Lijin said the Chinese group wanted to establish a plant in Pakistan for developing pre-fabricated housing structures. He added that this initiative would prove to be cost effective.
