The decision comes following the financial limitations in administrative matters. Among the two districts approved, one comes from the recommendation of Governor Chaudhry Sarwar. This tehsil is the hometown of Sarwar. Sources tell that apart from the governor\u2019s recommendation, there is an additional qualification for the tehsil\u2019s upgrade. They said that a large number of expatriates belonging to this area is also a reason for the change of status.<\/p>\n<p>The second area to be assigned district status is Chishtian Bahawalnagar. Authorities concerned are also actively considering declaring Bhakkar as a new division. After a formal approval, the Bhakkar division will include Bhakkar, Layyah, and Mianwali districts.<\/p>\n<p>In other expected status changes, Taunsa is under active consideration for becoming a district. It is the hometown of Chief Minister (CM) Usman Buzdar.
