For this test, the OLMT engine was made to run on the dual track at a speed of 50 kilometres per hour.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Read<\/strong>: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/olmt-committee-established-overseeing-project.html\">Committee established for overseeing OLMT project<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The said firm tested the dual train track that runs between Dera Gujran and Ali Town on Monday &#8211; against engine speeds (specifically) varying between 20 to 50 kilometres per hour.<\/p>\n<p>This test has helped to determine the strength, alignment and performance of the track laid down for the project. During the proceedings, consultants from the National Engineering Services of Pakistan, as well as other contractors, were also present.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Read<\/strong>:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/finance-department-asked-to-release-pkr-200-million-for-olmt.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Finance department asked to release PKR 200 million for OLMT<\/a><\/p>\n<p>As per reports, the engineers present during the test have declared the track\u2019s structural performance satisfactory. Furthermore, the report on the performance of the track\u2019s civil structure has been forwarded to the Punjab Mass Transit Authority.<\/p>\n<p>The Government of Punjab singed the project contract with a Chinese firm back in May 2014.
