Islamabad:\u00a0 The Capital Development Authority has increased the pace and intensity of its operations that have been launched against illegal housing schemes in the city, according to a press release.<\/p>\n

During its latest drive, the development authority sealed 213 premises; including the offices of property dealers set up in unapproved housing schemes. In addition, the CDA also demolished 25 shops that were constructed illegally on the space allocated for setting up a public park in the society.<\/p>\n

The CDA Enforcement Directorate, Planning Wing, Islamabad Capital Territory Administration, and the Islamabad Police participated in this operation; which continued throughout the weekend. The development authority reiterated that it would not allow unauthorised construction activities in its controlled areas.<\/p>\n

The civic authority also clarified that it will deal even-handedly with property agents and marketers misleading people into investing in such illegal and unauthorised projects and housing schemes.<\/p>\n

In this regard, the CDA has been issuing notices in the public interest to refrain from investing in unapproved housing developments<\/a>.
