Gujranwala: The local government has issued recovery notices to 6,000 owners of illegal homes and shops around the city, a news source reported. The notices were issued on the directions of the Commissioner Gujranwala.<\/p>\n

The authorities have also decided to take action against the defaulters who are yet to make the payments.<\/p>\n

The buildings were identified through a survey of the city conducted on the instructions of the Commissioner Gujranwala. This survey was conducted by the building inspectors. These 6,000 owners owe the government PKR 2 billion approximately.<\/p>\n

The list of these defaulters have also been posted on the local government\u2019s website, so that these owners do not get defrauded out of their money illegally.<\/p>\n
