Lahore: The Punjab government has reached out to private builders and developers in a bid to develop the Naya Pakistan Housing Programme (NPHP) project on a joint venture basis, a news source reported. Read: NPHP extended to Layyah, Bhakkar, Quaidabad Provincial Minister for Housing and Urban Development Mian Mahmood-ur-Rasheed recently held a meeting with private builders and developers to discuss the low-cost housing initiative. Punjab Housing and Town Planning Agency (PHATA) Chairman Liaquat Ali Chattha, Punjab Housing Task Force Secretary General Muhammad Atif, and other officials concerned were all present at the occasion. The minister said that the inclusion of the private sector in the NPHP project would ensure its developmental quality and transparency. He added that the government plans to offer certain incentives to the said sector for developing the low-cost housing scheme in the province.
